When Colorbar started to flood Facebook with their Kohl Intense Eyeliner ads, I was one of the suckers who fell for it and bought it. I am ashamed to say, I am a convert. The thing is, Colorbar is actually one of the few cosmetic groups which have got a great sense of meeting the demands of the Indian audience. This kohl is definitely becoming one of my favorites for doing FOTDs and EOTDs and creating smoky looks.
Colorbar Claims: Enjoy color and care in one: Kohl Intense eyeliner lasts all day and is easy to apply due its smoothness and excellent color pay-off. A combination of active ingredients, such as vitalizing ingredients to encourage cell regeneration and natural antioxidants to prevent skin aging, is especially coordinated to condition and nourish the sensitive area around the eyes.

My Take on Colorbar Kohl Intense Eyeliner Mysterious Blue:
The packaging is similar to the eyeconic kajal as well as the Avon glimmerstick, only, instead of black, this is matte silver color, with a blue end. The name of the color is stamped on the pack itself, along with the quantity. I have found that the color actually helps me pick it out from other products in the package, and I have taken to using it more because I can really identify it from others and use it. Also, the product is really travel-friendly. I have carried it in my purse with a thousand other things. This has not just stay put, but also been my faithful companion through my cousin’s wedding.
The product comes in a retractable stick form, quite similar to Revlon, Avon or Lakme, and it can be scrolled back after use. Kudos to that, because, otherwise, it would be truly wasted, like my Lakme eyeliner which was non-retractable (bummer!).
I was really impressed by the color, which is a dark matte inky blue. There are no shimmers or glitters in it, and as a result, the color can easily go on top of your eyelids, or can be in the waterline. I have noted, very surprisingly, that even my waterline, which generally throws off most colors within a couple of hours, has had this color lasting on it for absolute hours. The EOTD I have done involves a bit of silver eye shadow, with the color highlighting both top and bottom lid, and the picture was taken after … wait for it… 8 hours of application.
That’s right. 8 hours.
And you can see for yourself that the color has smudged minimum, hardly noticeable, and the top lash line has not smudged at all. I used the kohl sparsely in the bottom lash line, and it has stayed put mostly.
I have to say, compared to the other kohl marketed by various brands, as well as Colorbar itself in the range, I would have to give this one really high rating because of the intense color and the lasting power. The color actually sets on my eyes, but it takes about 10-15 minutes to do so, giving me ample time to blend it with eye shadow to create a smoky look if I want. It mostly does not smudge like most other Kajals, unless you rub it with your fingers (well!), and does not flake either. So that is a good thing too!
I would also have to say this – I have sensitive eyes and thus I am quite conscious about what I put on my waterline. This particular Kohl did not irritate my eyes, and there was no allergic reaction later on. Also, I have noted that I have been using it for the last 2 months and it is still not over. In fact, I checked yesterday, and about 1/3rd is there, so if you don’t mind shelling out about 400/- per 2-3 months for a kohl you can use regularly, this is your thing. It is also cheaper than Revlon, which is the closest contender for it, but Revlon does not have this gorgeous color. The color takes the cake.
