Boots Bergamot Conditioner Review

I love boots products. I have oily scalp and dry hair. Anyways I have been searching for a good daily use conditioner along with my shampoo since a long time. Finally i landed upon boots marine shampoo. Along with that the SA used to give me seaweed conditioner. However the last time i went they were out of stock so i bought the bergamot conditioner instead.  Lets see how this one worked.

Directions:
Smooth conditioner through wet hair and rinse.

Price:-INR 710 for 600 ml .

Ingredients:-
Aqua, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Parfum, Propylene glycol, Benzophenone-4, Cetrimonium chloride, Cocamidopropyl betaine, Polyquaternium-39, Trticum vulgare (Wheat) germ extract, Magnesium nitrate,Bergamot extract, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Magnesium chloride, Methylisothiazolinone, Propylparaben

My experience with boots bergamot conditioner:-
I have bought this conditioner for the first time however i have been using boots products since a long time. I have a greasy scalp with dry hair. So i use marine shampoo along with bergamot conditioner. The bottle lasts for a long time. There is need for very little of the product to apply on all of my hair. As i have medium hair.

I like the smell of this conditioner. Paired with the no smell of marine shampoo this one seems to really be a mild pleasant smell which lingers on . However as i have dry hair and this shampoo is meant for greasy hair it tends to dry out my hair more and also weighs it down. After a while i find my hair going limp since i started using this product. I am going to finish this bottle by using very small quantities just on the ends and not more. Then i am going to switch to lighter conditioner. I cannot stop using a conditioner altogether because of my intensive dry hair. Not using a conditioner makes them all frizzy and hay wire.

It has been a month since i am using this product and it has not made much of a difference to my hair. I don't find the conditioning effect long lasting. Once my hair is dry it kind of starts looking like a broom and gets very unmanageable. Till the time its not completely dry my hair feels all soft, but after that... No effect.

Pros of Boots Bergamot conditioner:

  • Love the smell.
  • Cheap enough
  • Quantity lasts long enough.
  • Makes my hair feel soft immediately after it is washed off.

Cons of Boots Bergamot conditioner:

  • Availability is an issue. Get it at only some shops
  • The packaging is not too great.
  • Sometimes makes my hair very dry.
  • Not really suitable for all hair types.
  • Excessive use makes my hair very limp :( and i anyways have very fine hair so tends to weigh down my hair

My rating:-2/5. For quantity and smell.

Would i repurchase boots bergamot conditioner?
No its not that great . I prefer buying the boots seaweed conditioner to this.

Would i recommend boots bergamot conditioner?
Not working for me. However as it is for greasy hair, those who have may give it a try and see how it works for them.

Final Verdict:-It doesn't seem to do anything great. Not recommended
