Streax ColorGard Shampoo Review

Guest Post by Harshita

Last month when I was on my Big Bazaar stroll, I caught hold of Streax ColorGard Shampoo. My hair have given me a constant pain in the neck. I tend to have an unending problem of hair damage, dandruff, hair breakage, split ends and what not. And I have tried everything to put them in the right condition, herbal, home made remedies, bio chemical products, hair spas as well as homeopathy, all of them but to no avail. Dandruff is something that stays on my scalp all the year round. And after a lot of hit and trial, a little improvement was found in my hair on using Avon Anti Dandruff Shampoo but since my hair can’t stand one shampoo for more than 2-3 months, it was time to change my shampoo. So I thought of trying this one out as in the summer season I have lesser hair problems, my dandruff also becomes less. And I had even got my hair coloured some time back so I thought this would be a good option plus it’s less(very less) price was one great temptation.

PRICE: 40 INR
QUANTITY: 100 ml
SHELF LIFE: 3 years

WHAT THE PRODUCT SAYS?
Special formula with UV protection. Guards colour from fading. Leaves hair smooth and soft. Also good for non-coloured hair.
INGREDIENTS
Aqua, Sodium lauryl ether sulphate, Cocodiethanol amide, Cocoamidopropyl betaine, Ethylene glycol monosteareth, Trimethylsilyamodimethicone & laureth 7 & laureth 5, Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, Sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate, Ployquaternium 10,2-Phenoxy ethanol, Citric acid, Benzophenone 4 & Perfume

MY VIEW
This shampoo is basically for people who do not suffer from much of hair problems or if you need a mild daily wash shampoo. For me it brought havoc in my life, I have an increased amount of dandruff and hair breakage now. So I would never buy it for myself now. I have now started using Garnier Anti Dandruff Shampoo and use Streax occasionally. In fact I have kept it for emergency purposes, like if in case I am unable to stock my shampoo on time I’ll go for this.

PROS of Steaks Color Guard Shampoo-

  • It is extremely cheap.
  • It has a sweet fragrance.
  • Comes with a flip flop cap.
  • Maintains the softness of your hair
  • Fine for a daily mild wash for people who do not suffer from hair problems.
  • Removes oil from hair easily
  • It is an average product for colored hair

CONS of Streaks Color guard Shampoo-
  • It doesn’t help in any hair problems.
  • People suffering with dandruff problem and hair breakage, please stay away from it.
  • It isn’t available online on any of the sites so you’ll have to search for it in the local market and yes, you can find it in Big Bazaar

MY RATING:2.5/5

FINAL VERDICT: There is nothing exciting about this shampoo. It didn’t work out for me. Clinic Plus would be a better option than this shampoo. May be it works out for you.

Which is your favourite anti dandruff shampoo?

God bless
