Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Gentle Anti ageing Cream Review

In my personal opinion I feel the basic and most essential criteria to judge a good anti ageing cream should be pertaining to its hydrating and moisturizing property. As we age we loose essential oils and our skin becomes dry .the dryness leads to most of the skin problems like fine lines, wrinkles ,pigmentation, dry patches etc !
Am 25 now and I absolutely believe this is the high time to start taking a bit extra care of my skin, which is combination to dry. I think we should invest in a proper night cream now according to our skin type. After all "prevention is better than cure "

I have used the Olay 7 in 1 cream in NORMAL last winter and loved it absolutely and for the last 4 months am using this varient in GENTLE. I mostly use it as a night cream, while my mom ( who has fine lines and pigmented patches uses it both as a day n night cream) In this reviews will share mine as well as my mom's opinion on this.

What Olay claims-

Olay total effects acts against 7 signs of ageing,
1. Line minimization: Reduces the appearance of fine wrinkles.
2. Nourishing moisturisation: for a radiant healthy glow.
3. Tone Enhancement: Balances colour and reduces appearance of age spots.
4. Gentle exfoliation: Smooths and evens out texture.
5. Pore refinement: Minimises the appearance of pores.
6. Free radical defense: helps prevent damage to skin’s surface.

7. Subtle lifting: Hydrates for firmer skin appearance.

Ingredients-

Price- 699 Inr for 50gms

What I liked about Olay total effects 7 in 1 Gentle anti ageing cream-

  • Absolutely love the packaging with the pump dispenser, pumps just the amount you need. no wastage
  • Has a very mild fragrance, which I liked (the NORMAL had a stronger fragrance)
  • Moisturizes your skin really well and gets absorbed fast ( The NORMAL may be a bt heavy, but this is perfect)
  • Makes skin soft and supple.
  • The texture of the cream is perfect ! blends in easily. On rubbing onto skin it gives smooth satiny finish !
  • Dark patches, pigmentation marks decreased to some extent on regular usage (on my mom)
  • Decreased appearence of fresh wrinkles (on mom)
  • Offers Spf 15 UVA/UVB protection (I found this out through their website)
  • Did not cause any breakouts
  • Easily available

What I didn't Like about Olay total effects 7 in 1 Gentle anti ageing cream-
  • exfoliation claim? am not sure
  • Did not help in reducing pores
  • Not much effect on wrinkles already present (on mom)
  • price is on the higher side
  • Some people have complained of breakouts with this
  • has parabens and other chemical ingredients

My Rating- 3.5/5

Final Verdict- It's a decent product and provides good moisturization to your skin along with reducing pigmentation patches. Has a spf 15 and protection agains t UVA/UVB rays. But if you are looking for something which would reduce wrinkles you already have, this might not be the right one. It may feel heavy for those with oily skin. And for the price this doesn't fall in the affordable range

  11. i used the total effects cream in winters and found it to be adequate in its claims..but for summers, as you rightly pointed out, it is a bit heavy..im using olay total effects serum..and it is very good and for its price also decent!!

i would recommend olay regenerist ..my mum tried it and liked it very much!!
