Biotique Citronella Refreshing Body Oil Review

I Love Body oils !specially those with essential oils. Be it summer or winter, a quick massage before or after shower helps a lot keep my skin soft and hydrated (I have a combination-dry skin). And I do experiment a lot with my body oils ,though I have some Holy grail stuffs among them!

A few months back I got this Citronella Body Oil from Biotique ! Honestly am not a big fan of the citronella fragrance, but as I could not find something with Lemongrass I picked it up !

What Biotique Says about Citronella Refreshing Body Oil-
An ancient combination of Citronella, Lavender and Peppermint oils. The rich blend of essential oils help to refresh and invigorate the body

To Use- Massage a little oil all over to help you feel totally refreshed. Then shower or bathe as usual

Price- 135 INR for 210 ml

Shelf Life- Mentioned

Ingredients-

What I Liked about Biotique Citronella Refreshing Body Oil-

  • Its a pale yellow oil, moderately thick in consistency
  • If you have used Citronella essential oil before you know the smell, for others it has a strong grass like smell with a tinge of lemon may be(Sorry I couldn't figure out a better description),which is soothing and refreshing. Also the strong fragrance of Citronella keeps insects at bay.The fragrance lingers on for a long time
  • Mostly known as a insect repellent essential oil, Citronella has finds it use in Aromatherapy to soothe tired and fatigued muscles, relieves joint pain, soothes nerves and helps to treat headaches. Citronella works as an effective astringent and might be helpful for oily skin beauties. It's also known to even skin tone.
  • There's a feeling of warmth when I massage my body with it, which is very relaxing
  • It has helped me with my back acne.
  • It moisturizes body well
  • Easily available and affordable

What I didn't Like about Biotique Citronella Refreshing Body oil-
  • Those who don't like Citronella fragrance won't love it.Not a very appealing fragrance I tell you !
  • If you don't have a serious dry skin problem, the consistency might feel bit thick and heavy. In summers the sticky feeling may be bothersome.
My Rating- 3/5

Final Verdict- If you love citronella fragrance and have dry skin owes, you can try it !
