Aura Vedic Pure De-Stressing Moisturizing Lotion Review

Hectic schedules, meeting deadlines, late nights, exam goosebumps etc etc are now a part of daily life for each and every one of us..innit? And anything which claims "De stressing" grab our attention most ! We all crave for that little bit of relaxation and some pampering for ourselves !

Auravedic has this one facial moisturizing lotion, which made me sit up and take a notice..So how does this help in pampering your skin a bit?? read on..

What Auravedic Says About Pure De-Stressing Moisturizing Lotion-

Packed with pure plant ingredients this super-lightweight moisturizing lotion actively energizes and revitalizes skin and helps fight the ageing effects of environmental aggressions with its antioxidant-rich formula. Soothes skin and boosts skin's moisture levels by simultaneouly replenishing both oil and water requirements.

Price- 200 INR for 100ml

Shelf Life- Mentioned

Usage- Gently massage onto face and neck until completely absorbed. Use 2-3 times daily.

Ingredients- Kokum Butter,Mango Butter, Beeswax, Sunflower, Aloevera extract, Ylang Ylang oil, Orange oil, Nutmeg oil, Jojoba oil, Olivem 1000, Oilwax, Purified water, Phenoxyethanol.

What I Liked about Aura Vedic Pure De-Stressing Moisturizing Lotion-

  • Its neither thick, nor runny in consistency, which makes it easy to massage onto face
  • Gets absorbed within a minute onto my combination to dry skin
  • There's a refreshing feel to the skin, very slightly cooling
  • Moisturizes skin well leaving it soft and supple.
  • Smells stongly of ylang ylang and nutmeg essential oils
  • Comes in a travel friendly bottle packaging with a tight plastic cap to prevent spillage
  • free of parabens and other harmful chemicals
  • Did not break me out or cause any type of tingling or burning sensation on my skin
  • Affordable
  • Available through many online shopping sites
What I didn't Like about Aura Vedic Pure De-Stressing Moisturizing Lotion-
  • If you don't like strong fragrance, and have a sensitive nose ,you may skip it.The strong smell of essential oils makes it bothersome some times.
  • If you have oily skin, this may not suit you cause it has beeswax, kokum butter, mango butter etc as ingredients
  • You need to leave it for atleast a minute to get it fully absorbed and then step out to sun, otherwise it made me sweat a lot.
  • Its not available in retail outlets widely. I haven't seen it in Kolkata yet!
  • has Phenoxyethanol  (am putting it in CONS as the product is not au naturale, BUT this is not a harmful chemical.  Phenoxyethanol is an organic chemical compound, a often used in dermatological products such as skin creams and sunscreen as preservative. It is a colorless oily liquid. It is a bactericidal.Used as a fixative for perfumes, an insect repellent, a topical antiseptic.)
Swatch-

My Rating- 3.5/5

Final Verdict- Its a good facial moisturizer specially for combination or dry skin beauties. If you are fond of essential oils specially Ylang ylang, you will like it . It may not take away all your stress but a bit of aromatherapy at bed time will soothe your skin. But if you have oily skin and a sensitive nose, you can skip this one.

    1. Haan, that was meant for dry skin na? I haven't tried it though but this might be lighter in texture than the one you reviewed. Still I feel this will be better for dry skin beauties or people like me who have combination to dry skin. For winters I would need a product thicker than this !
