I have been wearing it almost 24*7 since I bought it (okay..except at bed time) n here's what I feel.... "IF you love to do up your eyes,this is worth buying ;-) "


What Maybelline says- Mix or use one color at a time,as you please;for a intense color,and glittery shine.comes with exclusive eye line brush.Smudge proof and long lasting type.
Creamy gel type allows to draw a smooth clean line without crease.By mixing the two shades,you will have a classy subtle shine.By using separately you will get intense powerfull line or a dramatic shine

What I liked about Maybelline Long Lasting Drama Swirl Gel Liner- Brown & Gold

• It's creamy ,creamy ,creamy..super soft and glides like a dream on your lids
• Shade Brown- is a dark chocolate and superbly pigmented..one swipe is all you need
• Shade Gold-its more like a glitter on a gel base,not a liner per se..so not that pigmented.that make it not being OTT(over the top)..you need quite a lot,I mean like 10-12 pats and swipes to make an obvious line or show up some color on your lids (umm..some may like it but this is a CON for me, I would have liked a bit liner like texture)The shade looks more obvious and better if it's layered on by similar Gold eye-shadow
• The gold glitter part goes upto the bottom,I was initially afraid if it was just a layer in the top.So,you get lot of the gold shade here :D
• The brush is same as the earlier one,soft brush,medium sized travel friendly handle,comes with a cap( the one which came with THIS)
• Stayed on for good long time,like 6-7 hours without any flaking. it didn't smudge,but on the waterlines it faded gradually
• Non irritating.wore brown on waterlines throughout the day..no redness/watering..but I don't wear glitters on waterlines and none of you should too.
• You need a makeup remover to take it off (my Johnson's baby oil did fine) 
• And its waterproof too,watched an emotional movie and cried lot,but that didn't make me look like a brown panda :D
• you can use the brown liner alone or with the gold..as per your choice,you can mix n match to get your desired combination and intensity of brown-gold liner

What I didn't like about Maybelline Long Lasting Drama Swirl Gel Liner- Brown& Gold

• the brush could have been better if it was a bit angulated and also you need two separate brushes,if you want precision.If you use the brown first and then go for the gold,you will not get a proper shade of gold :-/ but a mixture.Either use the gold first and then go for the brown,or use separate brushes,
• again the same boring aluminium cap packaging
• The shade gold is a glitter and takes a bit more time to set..if you rub on it..gold glitters are all over your eyes.And also it needs 10-12 pats and swipes for the color  to show up.
• Though the look is chic and sexy,I feel it's messy to work with..already the swirl on mine got all over the brown..not for the times when you are in rush or have messy hands like mine :(
• You would probably end up using more of the brown than the gold.( i know this is going to happen to me,cause i love the brown and will be wearing daily..but the gold will not be used on a regular basis)
• Am afraid this would dry up too like the  previous Black gel liner and you would need to buy something like the Inglot Duraline,to make it work
• If you are not much of an eye makeup addict and really don't need much of gold,you will get many dupes of the brown.

HOW TO USE/APPLY MAYBELLINE BROWN &GOLD LINER- 


Here are 5 ways to use the Maybelline brown &gold gel liner... As,Shruthi had requested for a tutorial,am just putting up some pics which you may find helpfull..but statutory warning--

#1 As a gold liner-

the shimmers would reflect light and make your eyes glow ..err brighter :D


#2. Line the golden liner in the upper lashline with the brown,as a border...

#3. Apply as a simple liner,just mixing both the shades according to your choice..to get a subtle sheen or a dazzling bling.. :P

#4. Apply the gold shade just to inner corners,inner 1/4 th of the lashlines..to open up your eyes.In the pic..i have just lined inner half of lower lash line in the gold and patted some gold eye shadow over it,for the outer corner,just a bit of the brown 

Sorry..it got a bit wahed out due to light :(

Final Verdict- If you are big time into eye make up..go grab it.and if you are pretty novice and still learning tricks of makeup (like me) and prefer subtle swipes of kohl even for an event..you can skip it. I don't think I will buy it again..cause am a clumsy and impatient person..this one needs patience and precision
