MAC Studio fix Powder plus foundation NC41 Review

Guest Post by Diya

Summer is here and anybody with combination skin can understand the woes of it ! In terms of makeup nowadays am only depending on powder compacts . I had read so much about MAC that i badly wanted to try something from them..
I zeroed down on their Studio fix powder plus foundation, which seemed to be a decent buy for beginners like me !

MAC says- A one-step application of foundation and powder. Gives skin a smooth, flawless, all-matte, full-coverage finish. Long-wearing: lasts for up to eight hours. A real all-in-one. The choice of pros, and longtime favorites of M∙A∙C fans.

Price- 1700 INR

Ingredients:Talc, silica, isostearyl palmitate, methicone, caprylyl glycol, hexylene glycol, phenoxyethanol [+/-] titanium dioxide, iron oxides, chromium oxide greens, ultramarines.

What I Liked about MAC Studio fix powder plus foundation-
  • Provides light to medium coverage and is buildable.
  • Light weight
  • Did not break me out or clog pores
  • Its good for summers since it controls oil for upto good 4-5 hours and is mattifying
  • Blends Well.
  • Comes in a travel friendly packaging with a separate compartment for the sponge
  • Its photo friendly. No cast or whatsover in pictures
What I didn't Like about MAC studio fix powder plus foundation-
  • You can't blame it for the price because its MAC .(but its a bit of luxury product for me)
  • It doesn't provide full coverage
  • May not be appropiate for dry skin beauties specially in winters because its mattifying and you may need a moisturizer underneath.
  • If you want really longlasting oil control as in 8-9 hours this is not the one to look for.

My Rating- 4/5

Final Verdict- If you are looking for light to medium coverage powder foundation which controls shine for 4-5 hours this is a nice product. the application looks better if you blend it with a kabuki brush instead of the sponge provided.

    2. Shazia- for sheer foundations if you want to keep th eoverall look light & sheer then go for MAc Select sheer pressed fowder, studio fix has a matte texture and not the best to teem with sheer foundation

    3. agreed with IBC , this one would help you to set the foundation obviously, but if you particularly want sheer, then this won't work well cause of the matte effect !

  8. I wanted to buy this but settled for MAC select sheer instead, this one offers more coverage than I wanted. But one compact will last you 8-10 months with everyday use so its totally worth it!
