Maybelline ClearGlow BB cream 03 NATURAL Review and Swatch

The Blogevilla went ga-ga with the launch of this product! Expectations were high as the claims! Being affordable was another plus for the Maybelline Clear Glow Bright Benefit Cream (aka Blemish Balm)

For those, who are still wondering about the tern "Blemish Balm" here are few facts from Wikepedia

The SA had asked me if i wanted to wear it daily or only on special occasions ! :O
When i said daily, she swatched the shade Natural 03,which i found was matte and similar to my skin tone! other shades available are Radiance and Nude.I found them a bit glittery and bright .

  • The Goods-
  • This particular shade is perfect for daily wear ,absolutely free of any oily-ness.If you want a bit bright go for Nude and Radiance has some shimmer as what i remember now.Correct me if I am wrong
  • It works like a tinted moisturizer with added benefits of having SPF
  • lightweight and is easily absorbed
  • Evens skin tone and brightens up your face .So i feel this can be a decent quick fix .
  • Smells okay.Mild and bearable.
  • finish is between matte and dewy! I know i sound weird.but the moment you apply it gives a dewy finish..but again it absorbs really fast on my dry skin
  • didn't break me out.
  • travel friendly packaging
  • staying power is good.I wear it daily from 9am-3pm.
The Bads-
  • It doesn't conceal pimple scars, severe dark circle, open pores or whatever you want too.It does nothing in that respect.Coverage is low
  • Amount is really tiny
  • For my dry skin,i don't feel its moisturizing.I wear it above my daily face moisturizer. But this may be a positive for oily skin beauties
  • I didn't feel much of a difference as a primer/foundation.
Swatches-

My Rating- 3.5/5

It works really nice as a tinted moisturizer. It's semi dewy but did not make my skin oily.doesn't leave your skin feeling heavy.Good for everyday makeup routine,When you want to keep things natural and nothing made up or OTT. But at the same time, this wont help you much  in major concealing.Amount is really less.

  4. the texture is nice but the shade selection is a huge problem for these BB creams, i didn't find anything suitable fro duskier skin tones and it does leave a ashy undertone :(

    1. I understand. cause 03 Natural on blending was a bit closer to my skin tone..nude n radiance were definitely not for daily wear. :(

    1. Well. I really don't think so.This a mkup product. So,if there had been difference makeup wise,it should had been obvious within few days.the only thing you can hope is sun protection, but i think our l'oreal sunscreen cum TM would suffice that na?

  9. This has not been launched here in Pakistan as yet. Thank you for the honest review. I think I shall pass. You should check out skinfood's BB creams. The mushroom one is for oily and the Aloe one for dry skins. So far the BEST bb creams I have encountered.

I've been reading great things about this moisturizer.. Would be nice to get your views about it too!

  16. I have oily skin, and this didn't work so well for me :( If I apply it without moisturiser, it doesn't blend as well. And with moisturiser, I'm an oil factory in 30 minutes! :( Altho it did make my skin feel better after a couple of days of usage - looked clearer...but i stopped using it after almost a month of struggling with the right way to use it.
