Easy- peasy brown-black/grey smokey eye makeup

I had been trying to do a smokey eye look for sometime and the two times i tried i failed miserably and ended up with racoon eyes. Moreover my eyes are bit on the smaller side (sigh! how i wish it was like Bipasha Basu !!) which made it worse!

But Today afternoon i managed to do it (k..totally amaeteur look) but couldn't wait to share with ou ! :)

A bit Warning - no foundation or concealer, scars n fine hairs r visible (as I did not think of posting this while starting) and i didn't use any greys..still it looks a bit grey :P

with flash

without flash
and this is an attempt to contour my face n apply a bit blush :P

and if you are getting curious about the lippi..here it is ;-)

 Few close ups,

 What I used-

  • Maybelline colossal kajal /Lotus Kajal
  • maybelline chail latte quad
  • Faces eye shadow brush
  • Vega smudger brush
  • Maybelline collosal volume mascara
How  to do- ( i skipped the foundation, primer, concealer et all here,so not mentioning)

Line your lower and upper waterline with your favourite kajal

The lower and the upper lash lines, you are at liberty to be clumsy with the upper but try to be precise for the lower.

go dab dab dab with the kajal on your eye lid, upto the crease

Smudge and blend the kajal over your eyelid

It would look like this now,

Now start applying the eye shadows, I went a bit "ulta-fulta" with starting from highlighter :P

So,pick up the lightest shade on the pallete and highlight your brow bone

Blend it upto the inner corner

Take the light brown shade and apply it to the crease and blend blend BLEND!

Take the darkest brown shadow and apply at the centre of your lids and blend

Line your upper lash line thickly with the kajal again and SMUDGE UPWARDS to blend in with the lid colour

And you are done !!! :D

I need a nice black e/s and some good blending brushes now..but till then this is decent..Hope you like it

love

  13. This is lovely and pretty!! and using the kajol over the whole lid is actually a good idea because the kajol is slightly sticky and gives the eyeshadow a really good base to stick to so it should last all day! I agree with Nivedita too, your hair is absolutely gorgeous!! I have a real problem with my hair, its very thin so Im already trying different oils and stuff. Do you use anything special on your hair?
