hi buddies,

am very srry for being a lazy bum and totally ignoring my blog.. thanx a lot for following me anyways :)
so as i had mentioned earlier ,i would like to share with you my rendezvous in kitchen. am a novice.so this is all about making wrongs and hopefully some rights :P

yesterday my friend told me that there was some occasion ,and if you offer 11laddoos to Ganeshji and wish for something,it would be granted !!
so umm..that was quite tempting and i have been wanting to make besan ka laddoos for a long time.hence,it was a win-win oppurtunity (eating laddoos and wish being granted!)
this is my first attempt in making them,here's an account--

my musings with the cook book

Had to get rid of my cook few days back... all those everyday 'bahanas' and 'nakhras' were no more bearable..humph!
..am new to all these cooking things!! a novice to be precise...
so, i have decided to share my journey with you... what worked,what didn't ,how i messed up and how managed!!... these wont be exotic dishes...but simple (mostly bengali ) ghar ka khana....

I still run

sit by the window

never parting with my cell phone,

i still swing open the door

just like the day before

i still think of you..

i still dream of you

in the dark blue nights

i hate to wake up

afraid,you're not by my side

i know its very silly

but......am sorry,

its just one face i want to see

one voice i long to hear,

one smile which makes all the difference...

Reincarnation

 Shadows over the meadows

the dew drops on the grass tips,

the morning mist over the lake

the night by the fire pit..

Bitter sweet memories fleeting by,

in the delicious air,

in the cool breeze...

Today tells the story of reincarnation,

today brings creation once again...

Reservations & the blame game

So there's a lot of hulla-bulla going on the reservation based on capitalism(read donation/nri quota) thing in field of education (read medicine and engineering). i want to know why?? In a country like our's where people enjoy the reservation based on cast,religion and even sex ... then why not money? people claim dilution of merit in case of donation..so i would like to ask the same to those who enjoying the benefits of their cast. you rank something as a general candidate..but then on basis of your cast quotas you are high above.so if i question about merit getting diluted? then what? there are lots of people who are meritorious.but getting a rank is not easy.good students often fail to make it up there..because often luck too becomes a factor.. no matter how much you work hard. and people availing cast reservations dont fall into any such questionable group ,why?because our law,our constitution,our society supports it.Comming to donation seats.. if you have money you buy a house, a lux car, jewellaries,modern amenities.. and the list can go on? so why cant a seat in your desired subject. how come the question of merit come here,when so called "less fortunate" people,with a lesser merit stand a chance? Lots of campaigning going on every where regarding curbing of capitalism in education.. and mostly i see these people voicing protest in support..Just one question... are you really worth it??
